It is the goal of the Willis High School Athletic Training Staff for every student who has sustained a concussion to be as healthy as possible before returning to play.
House Bill 2038 – Natasha’s Law requires that every student treated for a concussion must provide a written statement from the treating physician that it is safe for the student athlete to return to play.
The student’s parent/guardian must acknowledged
1. that the student has completed the requirements of the return-to-play protocol
necessary for the student to return to play
2. They have provided the treating physician’s written statement to the athletic
trainers for compliance with the return-to-play protocol.
3. They have been informed concerning and consent to the student participating in
returning to play in accordance with the return-to-play protocol.
4. They understand the risks associated with the student returning to play and will
comply with any ongoing requirements in the return to play protocol.
